Family Golf Program


The 2011 is the 15th year Metcalfe Golf Club has proudly offered our very successful METCALFE GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB 'Kids Play Free' Program

Throughout the past 14 seasons over 9,000 children have participated in our program, which allows children up to the age of 16 to golf for free when they are accompanied by an adult.

Throughout the golf season the ongoing program sponsored by Flagstick Golf Magazine and the Ottawa 67’s runs Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 4:00 pm onwards. Tee times, which are highly recommended, may be made up to 7 days in advance. Clubs are provided for those children who were new to the game or who do not have their own clubs.

Each year the program offers several events for families
to participate in.

Sunday June 5th – Introductory kids golf clinic, family BBQ and optional 3 holes of golf.
Monday July 4th to Sunday July 10th – Take a Kid to the Course Week
Sunday July 10th – Take Your Family to the Course Day
Sunday September 4th – Adult Child Labour Day Tournament

2010 was a great year for Junior Golfers and their families and we look forward to another fun filled year in 2011. We firmly believe that golf is not only a tremendous vehicle to encourage family activity, but also a game which children can enjoy for the rest of their lives.
